This morning I popped out of bed and decided to make some phone calls to see if any neurologists were available to see Robert today. I say neurologist because something was truly wrong. He had another "moment" last night and I just know someone can help us. When he has his "moments" his vision goes blurry and he doesn't act himself. So, Dr. Athari's office asked if we could get there ASAP and I quickly said sure, we are on our way. Poor Robert was still in bed and I am sure I scared him when I woke him to hurry up so we can get to the doctor. We arrive to a packed waiting room. By the way, its a good thing his insurance doesn't require a referral. Who knows when we would see Dr. Athari or any neurologist with the primary doctor he "use" to have. So, 10:30am we're in the crowded waiting room with strangers-some real strange ones who are loud and make your waiting time annoying and restless. Finally! 12:30pm and we're in a room to see Dr. Athari. Robert and I tell Dr. A. what's going on and find out that a test he took at the E.R. last Tuesday showed a lesion on his lung. GREAT! Thanks E.R. for telling us that. Dr. A. didn't think it was a huge deal, but wants Robert to see a lung specialist soon to get checked out. I was a bit annoyed that we were just finding out when other docs we've seen since last Tuesday hadn't mentioned it. Anyway, for the real reason we are there to see Dr. A. Dr. Athari thinks that Robert maybe having silent migranes (which we learned you can have migranes without having headaches), some type of seizure, or panic attacks. Very interesting. So, the doctor leads us to a room in his office for Robert to do a brain wave test. As he takes us to this room he tells his assistant to fix us a plate of food with a drink and let us enjoy some food first before the test. I was shocked. How nice of him! Don't forget that Robert hasn't eaten real food since last Tuesday at lunch. When the lady brought the food, he scarfed it down and enjoyed it. I couldn't believe he liked it since it was some type of lasagna/manicotti meal. Robert doesn't like many noodle meals. Best part of that was, he kept it in. No throwing up today. YAY!!! So, he did the brain wave test then we were off to take an MRI. The MRI took about an hour. Robert has a follow-up appointment for Dr. Athari Feb. 11. Dr. Athari perscribed him with Depakote. This will hopefully balance the chemicals in his brain. It's only to be taken at night so let's see how tonight goes. I mentioned earlier about Robert's "use-to-be" primary doctor. Yeah, I think Robert is finally going to change his primary doctor. This guy didn't listen to Robert's real problem and that's why we're 2 weeks into this. I met him yesterday and I think he's a fruitcake. Made me feel weird! But, Robert had been going there since he was little and thought he could trust him. Robert got fed-up. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day. I will be monitoring Robert with the new medicine, canceling doc appointments and making a couple of new ones, and hopefully do a little cleaning.
I captured a photo of my poor hubby wired up for the brain wave test.

Can't wait for next Tuesday! I think we may have a "Lost Party". Which will only be Robert, Me, and Robert's Mom. LOL. We're the only ones that watch it. Well, I joined in late, but better late than never.

Well, that's all for tonight.
